mxLicense Features
mxLicense supports different so many licensing types. You can use them in any combinations as you want.
Following licencing types are available:
- Time Limit
You can use it for evaluation licences or rent softwares.
- Feature Support
The products must be defined as set of licensed "features." This allows single product to be licensed as a limited functionality "LITE" version, a "STANDARD" version or "PROFESSIONAL" version and so on. Each feature can have start and expiration date.
- Flying Licences
This is the base of networked licensing. No more than predefined number of licenses may be used at one time on the network by the users.
- Licence Locking
It allows to lock licensed features usage on a single PC.
- Site Licensing
It allows to use licensed feature to all valid requests within site.
The Licence file
Licence information is stored in a simple text file.
The license file is created by you, and must be installed by license administrator at client side. The license file contains all information required by the licence manager for the licensed products. This file specifies which features are available to use in the application.
How to identify the HOST
The following hardware identifications are supported:
- Locks the software to an Ethernet address. The licence manager can be used on PC has the network card with specified Ethernet address.
- Locks the software to PC, which has harddisk with specified disk serial number.
- Locks the software to computer host name.

How to install Licensed Software
The License Administrators are responsible for setting up licensing on their local PC or network.
They have to follow these steps:
- Select the license server computer.
- Install the mxLicence Client Manager.
- Get the server host IDs.
- Send the host IDs to the supplier and get the license file.
- Set up the licence file and start the licence server.
- Install the client application.
- Set up the licence server parameters.
- Now the licenced application is available to use
